Mr. Yarbrough at NNHS told me about you when I told him I wanted to see a Little Night Music on Broadway in June. Any chance of getting reasonably priced good seats for a faculty member at your alma mater? I liked to meet you first and foremost.

Hi Steve,
It is Jennifer Dabrowski. Saw you and

Just wanted you to know how awesome I
think it is that you went on to fulfill your
dreams. A far cry from Basic History

downs for sure - but blessings to you for
pursuing your hearts desire. YOU ROCK!

Heard Stephen sing yesterday for the first time and saw brief video of him at a class/demo of sorts. I love his style, his voice and his unique interpretation ...
he sang "Oh What a Beautiful Morning"
and made it completely new.
I will look for him and support him.

I would like to thank you for the autograph at the SPCA fundraiser, and for your congenial and pleasant company at the table we shared. You kept us all very entertained with your conversation and you may possibly have missed your calling as a stand up comic. If you ever do decide to try singing karaoke, please contact me as I would love to be present to watch the jaws drop.

Stephen, Do you have a great grandfather name OTTO BUNTROCK?
Otto B lived on a farm near Columbia, SD next to our farm. Herman and Ida Buntrock
had 13 children. They came from
Germany - Otto was their son and
my grandmother's sister. I LOVE
theater AND WOULD LOVE TO COME and
see you perform whenever I come to
NYC. God Bless. Otto was a tall
man. Joyce

Hi Steve,

My maiden name was Buntrock, grew up on a farm near Waukon, IA. My sister-in-law, who lives in CA saw you in Martin Guerre and thought you were wonderful. That is the reason I checked into your website. Very interesting to read about all your accomplishments. Tried to e-mail your father, Bob, with the e-mail address that was listed back in 2001, but to no avail. Would be interesting to know if our backgrounds were from the same line of Buntrocks. My ancestors came from Germany and first came to Milwaukee, WI and then to Iowa.

Could you supply me with a current e-mail address for your father?

Would love to see you in a production sometime.

Jane

Steve Buntrock!!! I randomly found you on the internet when I was looking for good musicals to see on Broadway! You probably don't remember me from high school, I was a year behind you. I think I did your makeup for Oklahoma back at NNHS in 1985, your first theatrical production. Next time I'm in NYC I'll see where you're playing and catch your show. Congrats on an amazing career!

Stephen
Just wanted to say a quick hello from Alabama. I REALLY appreciate the hospitality and use of the house when Jeff and I were passing thru NYC. Trip to Africa went well and we are headed back there in a couple of weeks. Best to you, Erin, and your daughter. Tell them I said hello from Alabama. I took my kids camping out at Tannehill State Park which is between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. It was a iron furnace during the Civil War but on the way I noticed a road called John Pelham Drive. Interesting. Anyway, hope you guys can make it down to AL soon.

While watching "Yankee Doodle Dandy" I suddenly thought of you.
It appears your career is doing well. I fondly remember when you lived in your upper west side apartment. Are you still interested in re-enacting? Since my heart gave out in the 90's, I only lecture a few times a year. Now I have a motorcycle touring business. If you ever find yourself in the Twin Cities again, give me a call...

Stephen, Congrats on a fabulous career ad a wonderful family, as Haley has many entries espousing her love for you. Very cool! We missed you at the 20th reunion, but perhaps we'll see you at the 25th. It was a late night down in the bunker with Rob, Billy Born and Pete Salzer, not to mention Jeff Marren. Besides all the acting, do you get on the soccer field any more. Wishing you all the best Stephen! Kent

I took my daughter to NYC to see Grease for her 11th birthday. Imagine my surprise when I saw "Steven R. Buntrock" listed in the playbill! His performace was top notch. I remember Steve from High School (especially study hall) and from Comfirmation classes at church. Who could've guessed that all these years later I'd see him sing "Beauty School Dropout" on Broadway?! Bravo!

Stephen, I have been following your career ever since we used to do theatre together in Naperville. You, your sister and I used to do shows at the little outdoor summer theatre in Naperville. (Fiddler, Cinderella, & Little Mary Sunshine.) Not sure if it is still there. I missed you in Martin Guerre(sp.) when you were in LA with it. Would love to get back in touch with both you and your sister. I majored in Musical Theatre in college, but never made it to Broadway like I always dreamed. But I am still very active in theatrical productions in LA, as are my husband and 2 1/2 year old twins. Love your work! Always did. If you are ever in LA again, would love to catch up with you, your wife, and your kids. Hello to your sister for me too!
