Stephen Buntrock is awesome; I saw him as Enjolras on Broadway a few years ago and he was great. It's cool to see he's still very involved in it and that someone has taken the time to put up a nice page about him. :D

Hey couz' (if you ever actually look at this guest book thing). Haven't heard from you for awhile. I just moved down here and am staying with family. It's a little warmer than Chicago or Minneapolis and there's alot of venues around.
It is so great to finally hear you on record. I'm sure Mom and I will get out there to see you again soon.

P.s. I don't think Terry's Romeo and Juliet is gonna make it out there, but you know how that goes.

e-mail me!

Talk to ya soon

Hi, Having grown up in Papua New Guinea and only moved to Australia for college, I have regrettably never heard of Stephen Buntrock, the actor. However, I have an Uncle Stephen Buntrock who is an artist! I always thought he was one of a kind but now I know there's another one! :) Anyway, just in case you didn't know, there's an Australian branch of the Buntrock family tree that came from Germany two generations ago. I'd like to hear from any more Buntrocks and work out connections...

Hi Stephen,
I sincerely doubt you remember me, but I saw your site and couldn't resist saying hello. As a member of the children's choir, I had the pleasure of working with you in "Joseph" while it was in Boston. You were of course my favorite cast member, continuously making each performance interesting by making faces at me during the vulture scene, or giving me high-fives at the end of the show. You also told me I had a beautiful voice, which I was thrilled about. It may sound corny, but to a fifteen year old, you played a very significant role in my "Joseph" experience. I actually still have a picture of the two of us kicking around somewhere; It's of me with a shocked grin on my face as you lifted me in your arms during the signing party. It was a very happy moment for me. Thank you for making me smile. I wish you and your family all the best, and hope to get to Jane Eryre soon.

Hi, Stephen. I may be your long-lost cousin. :o) My family is originally from South Dakota. I have followed your career somewhat over the last few years, but have had no way of contacting you. I see now that you have your own web site. Very nice. I get to New York about once a month to visit my boyfriend who lives in Manhattan. I've been doing this long-distance stuff for almost three years now. I'm finally seriously considering moving to NYC this summer. It would be great to hear from you to see where our families link up.

Anne Dougherty (adougherty@att.net) from Los Angeles:

I saw Stephen Buntrock in Martin Guerre. His voice is marvelous and perfectly complemented that of Hugh Panaro. His scenes with Erin Dilly were very moving and full of emotional tension. I also saw him in Titanic and most recently as St. John in Jane Eyre. Unfortunately his part in Jane Eyre does not allow him to truly showcase his voice and talent. I would love to see him as Raoul in Phantom. I'm glad I found this website.

I've now had the pleasure of seeing Stephen 5 times in Jane Eyre. He is a wonderfully talented performer and I hope I get a chance to see him go on as Rochester someday soon. On top of being a talented performer he is one of the nicest people I've ever met and I've never walked away from a conversation with him without a smile on my face. I wish him all the luck in the future and here's to as many visits to Jane Eyre as I can fit in. :)

My son and I have been BIG fans of Stephen's since seeing him in Titanic and then in Les Miz. We had the privilege of speaking to him several times, and he always gave us extra time and put up with our craziness! I even brought a friend from England to meet him after Les Miz - He was a great sport about that too! We'll be at Jane Eyre in January, and are very much looking forward to seeing him again. A very talented performer, and a great guy! (Great site, Faith - you're doing a wonderful job.)

I met Stephen and Jamie in Seattle when I was a nanny to Haley when she was 18 months old. Jamie was here starring as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. I lost track of their address as I wanted to keep in touch with them. I would love to know how Jamie has grown up. I think of them every Christmas when I hang my beautiful Santa ornament from them. It would be great to hear from them! Best of luck to all of them.

Hello Faith!

You have done a fabulous job with this website. You should be very proud. I am thrilled for Stephen!!! It's great to know that there is a place I can visit & keep up w/his career. I first saw him in "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". He was outstanding, of course. I am originally from NY so when he said he was going to make his Broadway debut in "Les Mis", I was extremely happy for him. I didn't have the opportunity to see him in "MG". I know he will do a fantastic job in his new venture. Best wishes Stephen!! Your friend,

Carolann Medina

I was a chorus member in a production of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' here in Michigan five years ago, and Stephen was among the adult cast. I think that he is one of the most beautiful and sweetest guys ever! He would visit us a lot backstage before the shows- he even let us babysit his daughter. It's good to know I have a way to keep up with his career!

Hello. Loved the site, looked very proffesional-well put together, and it's about time Stephen R.B. had a website. :)
For your info, I was actually a little chorus girl with him when he was on the road for "Joseph.... technicolor Dreamcoat." I might have some pictures... 'course they aren't going to be high quality, but if your interested, just e-mail.

I was pleasently surprised in stumbling upon a this website for Mr. Buntrock. I was fortunant enough to view his performance as revolutionary student Enjolras in Les Miserables numerous times, and I must say that he never ceased to impress me. He honestly gained a real strength and power towards the end of his commitment to LM, and unfortunantly I was unable to see him in Titanic or follow the Martin Guerre tour, so I am highly looking forward to Jane Eyre. I enjoyed the site and must congratulate the webmaster on their hard work in putting it together, well done!

I'm absolutely delighted to hear the news about Jane Eyre! At last Stephen Buntrock gets to originate a role, in an Original Broadway cast.

I saw him in Martin Guerre last fall in Minneapolis, and he did a great job as Arnaud. His performance was so dynamic and his interaction with all his co-stars was electric. I was so disappointed when I heard the news that MG was not going to Broadway (at least any time soon), I wish more people could have been exposed to his great performance in that show. Hopefully Jane Eyre will be a hit -- I know his performance will be fabulous! Best wishes to him in all his future endeavors.

I am so happy to see a website for Steve! I have unfortunately missed his performances in Les Miz and MG, but I have known him for years. Since my first theatre experience while he played Phillipe in Phantom until his last show with Joseph he has been my favorite! Steve deserves all the success he has received. His hard work has finally paid off. Hats off to Steve for always being one of the nicest and most sincere actors I have ever met.

Thanks for creating such a great site. We were definitely in need of such a dedication and you have done an amazing job. I missed Stephen in Martin Guerre but was able to catch him in Les Miserables and Titanic. In both he gave a captivating performance worthy of a standing ovation. Great site and good luck as it evolves!
