It was great meeting you, Faith. And I'm so glad that this site is still here after this last weekend.

It really is better than I could have done, and I tried to tell him that, though it's also nice to know he wouldn't have killed me if I had done it.

Regrettably, I never got to see Martin Guerre, as
I'm a tad too far north...but I am very much aware
of Stephen's enormous talent, and hope he does
continue in the performing arts. He's a great
performer whom I hope I can see live someday! (Was
that grammar correct)? And great job with the
site, Faith...besides, I thought SOMEONE should be
the first to sign this from a Macintosh. How very
sad. LOL... ;-)

I absolutely loved the show. Saw it first in London in July of 96, and then 9 times in LA. It was even better with the revisions, in general. Great chemistry between the 3 leads. What a disappointment to end without Hugh Panaro. At least we had Stephen and Erin. I will miss the cast and the show greatly.

MG was my introduction to Stephen and what an intro! His incredible voice and stage presence blew me away. Also an extremely nice gentleman. I hope if MG makes it to Broadway next season, Stephen, Hugh, Erin and as many members of this cast as possible are along for the ride.

Faith, I met you at the last performance where you let me know about this site. Kudos to you on doing such a wonderful job!

I saw Stephen in MG twice in DC and was blown away by his LWSYL. It is a shame that this version of MG won't get to Broadway soon because this cast led by Stephen's amazing voice was absolutely fabulous. Good Luck and Keep it up!

Wonderful site! I'm familiar with Stephen Buntrock's Les Miz and Titanic performances, and I finally got to see him myself in Martin Guerre in Minneapolis. He's a fabulous performer - what a voice! - with trememdous stage presence! Keep up the great work here!

Go Steve!
Having known Steve since he was in high school, I am thrilled that he has done so well.
He was in Oklahoma with my daughter, Karen, and even then he approached the play with complete intensity.
Show business is all he wanted to do and so I am indeed proud that he has "made" it!
We are very proud of you Steve!

Natalie Fujita (alnatjl47@aol.com) from Gig Harbor, WA:

My friend, Norma Aamodt-Nelson recommended that we go up to Seattle to see the show, playing until Feb 12. Don't know if that will happen, but it sounds great! Norma says they saw it in Minn. and Steve was stunning. Guess I'll look into ticket prices and go from there. A trip to SEattle is always an excursion, we're such home-bodies here in Gig Harbor ( more than an hours drive away) If we go, I'll send a note, via the usher to Steve...I'll be Norma Nelson's friend, Natalie Fujita, from Gig Harbor. It would be a real thrill to meet with a famous singer/actor from New York! Best Luck on your stay in Seattle. Where do they put you up during the play? Hope you get to see some of the sights, and sounds of Seattle, and some sunshine as well, not just rain and grey skies. Enjoy!

Saw Martin Guerre in Seattle last week. Steve was
terrific. We especially loved the duets he had with Guerre.
We actually met Steve about 20 years ago when he was visiting mutual friends in Alma MI and he got lost in the woods with one of our sons.

Really nice web site. Keep up the good work.

Martin Guerre: Outstanding! I was amazed at his powerful voice and ability to sing 13+ songs without missing a beat. It was extremely exciting for me to finally get the opportunity to see Stephen perform. After all, he has always been a very special and unique person since I can remember. His personable characteristics also attribute to the overall great person behind the scenes that he is. Stephen, keep up the great performances! Cousin MS

Oh! I was recently wondering aloud about the lack of a Buntrock website, and I'm rather glad to see there's something now that, quite frankly, doesn't suck big goat eggs. BUNTROCK! is good people.

Great job here - good design, not drooly or anything, which I can greatly appreciate. All hail unofficialness! (Wow, I can really sound like a huge dork when I want to.)

Faith,
This is an amazing site and shows much dedication to Mr. Buntrock and to your craft. I saw him in MG and in Titanic. He is such an intense actor and seems to make the right choices. What a tribute to him!

Saw Mr Buntrock in Martin Guerre in Detroit -- WOW! I knew he would be good, because I've heard his Enjolras a couple of times, but he was fantastic! Complete surprise. And even though he looks exactly like Hugo's description of Enjolras (it's all in the eyes), he is so unlike the character that he played to a high level of perfection. Very friendly, down to earth -- a bit closer to Arnaud than Enjy, though completely unlike either of the characters I've experienced him play. Very talented -- the cancellation/postponement of the Broadway opening really hurts because he, as well as the rest of the cast (especially the ensemble people -- less well known actors who had the opportunity of a lifetime), deserved it as a reward for all his (their) work. But one thing is certain -- two months later, I can still remember performance details and what was discussed that night at the stage door. That should say everything.

Heather from NY:

I have seen Stephen Buntrock in Les Mis and Titanic numerous times; my only
regret is missing him perform in Guerre. You've got a lovely tribute here and I very
much like the fact that it is a respectful and non-"crazy fan club shrine worship"
page - just a nice dedication. I would be surprised and a little disappointed if Mr.
Buntrock ever found and was not pleased with this page - it is a lovely tribute to
him. Keep up the good work.

Shannon Russell (russs@mindspring.com) from Durham, NC:

Faith,

Except for your not talking to him as much, your history watching Buntrock perform is similar to mine (including seeing him first at the LM Bway anniversary and in MG on Jan 1, 2000). I asked him about a website last summer, but I didn't have the nerve to do this.

Thank you so much for doing it. :) He deserves the attention, and there are people who want to know about his career that you will be helping.

Would it bug you if he found out about it?
